Arkansas has a small but geographically spread-out adult club scene. Our directory currently lists nine distinct venues across four metro areas: Little Rock and North Little Rock, Fayetteville, Hot Springs and Jacksonville. There is no single strip district in the state — clubs sit on commercial corridors like North College Avenue in Fayetteville, Central Avenue in Hot Springs and Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock. Because venues are far apart, deciding which city you are in matters more here than in most states.
What the law actually says in Arkansas
The statewide framework is Arkansas Code § 14-1-301 et seq., which comes from Act 387 of 2007. Its core rule is a distance requirement, not a licensing regime:
- An adult-oriented business may not be located within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, park, place of worship, playground, public library, recreational area or facility, residence, school or walking trail.
- The distance is measured in a straight line, property line to property line, ignoring buildings in between.
- A business already lawfully operating is not put in violation if a school, church or residence later moves in within 1,000 feet.
Act 131 of 2023 amended the same chapter. It defined an “adult-oriented performance” and added that such a performance may not take place on public property, may not admit anyone under 18, and may not be funded with public funds. Note what this does not do: it sets no statewide 21-year minimum for dancers, no statewide closing time, and no statewide alcohol ban at adult venues. If you have read that Arkansas imposes those, the source was describing a different state.
The rules you will actually feel inside a club come from the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division. Where a venue holds a private-club alcohol permit, ABC regulations ban sexual contact or stimulation with performers, ban touching dancers during a performance, and ban exposure of genitals. Dancers must keep three feet between themselves and the nearest customer, and performers whose buttocks are exposed must perform on a stage at least two feet above floor level. Breaches can bring $1,000 fines and suspension or revocation of the alcohol permit. ABC has run statewide compliance sweeps of adult clubs, with undercover visits in Fayetteville, Little Rock and North Little Rock.
Some Arkansas venues avoid the alcohol permit route entirely and operate BYOB instead — the Hot Springs club Centerfold describes itself that way.
Little Rock and North Little Rock
Visions Cabaret sits at 7900 Bicentennial Rd in North Little Rock, across the river from downtown. Paper Moon Little Rock is at 3310 Mabelvale Pike in southwest Little Rock and is part of a small chain with sister locations in Virginia and North Carolina.
Fayetteville
Northwest Arkansas has the densest cluster, all near the University of Arkansas. Platinum Cabaret (2366 N College Ave) markets itself around bachelor and bachelorette parties. Silver Dollar Cabaret is a few blocks south at 2125 N College Ave. Bottoms Up Club is off the College Avenue strip at 405 W Poplar St.
Hot Springs
Centerfold at 1396 E Grand Ave bills itself as Arkansas’s largest topless revue, open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 pm, closed Sunday, and BYOB. French Quarter at 903 B Central Ave is the city’s oldest gentlemen’s club.
Jacksonville
North of Little Rock, Peaches Gentlemen’s Club is at 2221 W Main St and Sensations at 6715 John Hardin Dr.
What to check before you go
- Call ahead about alcohol. Arkansas clubs split between permitted bars and BYOB rooms, and that single fact changes the cost of a night out more than cover price does.
- Verify opening days and hours. Several Arkansas venues are closed Sundays and open only in the evening; hours are set locally, not by state law.
- Know the contact rules. At any alcohol-permitted club, the three-foot rule and the no-touching rule are enforced by ABC agents, not just house policy. Ignoring them puts the club’s permit at risk and gets guests removed.
